Terms of service

The rules of the road.

These terms explain what you can expect from 2xurl and what we expect from you when you create, share and track links with us.

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the 2xurl website, dashboard, short links, QR codes, bio pages and API (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use 2xurl on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you can accept these Terms for it.

The short version is below, but the full sections that follow are what apply.

  • Your account

    Keep your details accurate and your sign-in secure. You are responsible for activity in your workspace.

  • Pay as you go

    Free monthly allowance, then usage is paid from a prepaid wallet. No compulsory subscription.

  • No abuse

    No phishing, malware, spam or illegal content. Harmful links are disabled.

2. Accounts

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use 2xurl.
  • Give accurate information and keep it up to date. You can sign in with email, Google or WhatsApp.
  • Keep your password, recovery codes and API keys secret. You are responsible for everything done in your account and workspaces; tell us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • Workspace owners and admins control who can access a workspace and its links and analytics.

3. Acceptable Use

You may not use 2xurl for:

  • phishing, credential harvesting or impersonating another person or brand
  • malware, unwanted software or links to it
  • spam, including unsolicited bulk messages that use 2xurl links
  • illegal content, or content that exploits or endangers children
  • hiding a link’s real destination to deceive people or evade security checks
  • attacking, overloading or probing 2xurl or other services without permission
  • reselling or sharing accounts to get around plan limits or rate limits

We check link destinations against Google Safe Browsing and review abuse reports. We may disable a link, suspend an account, or both, if we believe it breaks these rules. Report abuse at 2xurl.com/abuse.

4. Billing & Wallet

  • Plans and usage. Every account can use the Free plan. Optional paid plans (monthly or yearly) raise your limits and included usage; their fee is deducted from your prepaid wallet at each renewal until you cancel. Usage beyond your plan's included amounts is charged from the same wallet at the rates on our pricing page. There is no compulsory subscription.
  • Top-ups. You add credit through our payment providers (Cashfree in India, PayPal elsewhere). Accounts in India are billed in INR; elsewhere in USD. Applicable taxes are shown on your invoice.
  • Zero balance. If your wallet runs out, your existing short links keep redirecting. Only new billable actions pause until you top up.
  • Refunds & cancellation. There is nothing to cancel because nothing renews automatically. Wallet top-ups are non-refundable, but duplicate, failed or wrongly charged payments are refunded — see our Refunds & Cancellation Policy.
  • Price changes. We may change rates for future usage. Changes are shown on the pricing page before they apply and never affect usage already charged.

5. Links & Content

  • You keep ownership of the links, destinations, QR designs, bio pages and other content you add.
  • You give us the permission we need to store, process and display that content to run the Service — for example to redirect visitors and show you analytics.
  • Custom back-halves are first come, first served. Words used by the site itself are reserved.
  • You are responsible for your content and for having the right to share it.

6. API & Integrations

  • API keys are tied to your workspace and the scopes you choose. Treat them like passwords.
  • Each key has per-minute and monthly limits set by your plan. Do not try to get around them.
  • Webhook deliveries are signed; verify the signature before trusting a request.
  • We may change or retire API features with reasonable notice where practical.

7. Suspension & Termination

  • You can stop using 2xurl at any time and ask us to delete your account.
  • We may suspend or close accounts, or disable links, that break these Terms, put others at risk, or where the law requires it. Where appropriate we will tell you why.
  • When an account is deleted, its links stop redirecting and its data is removed as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property

The 2xurl name, logo, website and software belong to 2xurl and are protected by law. These Terms do not give you any right to use our brand except to describe your use of the Service truthfully.

9. Disclaimers

We work hard to keep 2xurl fast and available, but the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We are not responsible for the websites that short links point to.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent the law allows, 2xurl is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as 2xurl evolves. We will change the “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, notify you by email or in the dashboard before they take effect. Continuing to use 2xurl after that means you accept the updated Terms.
