How is website analytics different from link analytics?
Link analytics counts clicks on your 2xurl short links and QR codes, with nothing to install. Website analytics measures what happens on your own website (page views, visitors, sessions and live activity) using a small script you add to your pages. You can use either one or both from the same account.
Do you store IP addresses or use fingerprinting?
No. IP addresses and user agents are not stored, only the parsed browser, OS, device and country. Query strings and fragments are removed from paths, and emails, card-like numbers and long tokens are redacted. Fingerprinting is never used.
What does session replay record?
Replay records page structure and interactions so you can watch a visit back. All form inputs are always masked, keystrokes and clipboard are never collected, and you can mask or block any element. Payment fields and Stripe, PayPal and Razorpay frames are blocked automatically. Replay is optional and sampled per site.
Can I ask for consent before tracking?
Yes. Each site has a consent mode: record replays only after consent, or collect nothing at all until twoxurl('consent', true) is called. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are respected by default, and visitors can opt out.
How do counter widgets work?
Create a widget in the dashboard, choose a style and the numbers to show, then paste the embed code where it should appear. Widgets display live visitors, today’s visitors or page views, or all-time page views, and update automatically.
Do you offer heatmaps or funnels?
Heatmaps, yes, on plans that include them: click, scroll and (desktop) mouse movement heatmaps, most-clicked elements, device and segment filters, comparisons and CSV/JSON export. They use the same tracking script and start collecting when you turn them on, so there is no history from before that. Funnels and goals are planned.
